A New Chapter for Alexandra House – Welcoming Tina Bronson as Executive Director

Dear Friends,

For nearly five decades, Alexandra House has stood with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, offering safety, healing, and hope to individuals and families across our community. Behind that steady presence has always been solid leadership — and today, on behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my privilege to share the next chapter in that story.

I am honored to announce that Tina Bronson has stepped into the role of Executive Director of Alexandra House, effective July 1, 2026.

This news comes on the heels of a profound milestone — the retirement of long-time Executive Director, Connie Moore, after more than 30 years of visionary leadership. Connie’s extraordinary service shaped Alexandra House into the respected, survivor-centered organization it is today, and her legacy will continue to serve as a foundation for years to come. We are deeply grateful for all she has given — to this organization, to our community, and to the countless survivors who found support because of her dedication.

This leadership transition was not made in a single moment. It was thoughtfully planned over the past year, with care and intention. Beginning in September 2025, Alexandra House moved into a co-executive director model, allowing Tina and Connie to lead side by side and ensuring a seamless, collaborative hand-off. That deliberate approach reflects exactly the kind of stability and continuity our community has come to expect from us.

Tina is no stranger to this work or to this community. She joined Alexandra House in 2014 and brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience in fund development, marketing, communications, and government and community relations. During her tenure, she has grown our annual fundraising significantly, built lasting partnerships with funders and legislators, and helped bring to life Linus’ Pet Haven, our nationally recognized pet-safe co-shelter program. She played an active role in the acquisition of our Andover campus and has been a tireless advocate at the local, state, and federal levels for the funding that sustains victim services across Minnesota.

But what stands out most about Tina is not any single accomplishment — it is the way she leads. Guided by the belief that “clarity is kindness,” she brings a relationship-centered, values-driven approach to every decision, and an unwavering commitment to the survivors and the staff at the heart of our mission. The Board is confident that her vision, her deep knowledge of our organization, and her steady heart will carry Alexandra House forward with both strength and compassion.

Please join me in congratulating Tina and welcoming her into this new role. And please join me, too, in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Connie for a lifetime of service — and to everyone among our staff, volunteers, donors, and partners who helped make this transition such a thoughtful and hopeful one.
