Planned Giving

Leaving a Legacy of Care and Compassion

Leaving a legacy of care and compassion doesn't have to be complicated. If you're thinking about how you want to make a lasting difference — how you might leave the world a little better than you found it — exploring your charitable giving options is a meaningful place to start.

Whether you'd like to make a gift today and see your impact in action, or you're planning for the future and considering naming Alexandra House, Inc. as a beneficiary in your will or estate plan, a conversation with your financial advisor can help you find the giving model that feels right for you.

Through planned giving, you carry your commitment to Alexandra House's mission forward — creating a legacy that supports safety, healing, and hope for survivors and their families for generations to come.

Planned gifts also offer meaningful benefits to you. They allow you to make a transformative impact on the people we serve while maximizing the tax advantages available to you.

Please note that Alexandra House does not provide financial or legal advice. We encourage you to consult your personal attorney or financial planner as you explore the planned giving options below.

The Do Moore Fund

Some legacies are built over a lifetime. Connie Moore spent 30 years as the Executive Director of Alexandra House — 30 years of showing up for survivors, building programs, growing partnerships, and quietly, consistently making Anoka County safer and more compassionate. When Connie retired in 2026, we knew her legacy deserved something lasting.

The Do Moore Fund is an endowment of Alexandra House, established to honor Connie's 30 years of leadership and to ensure the mission she dedicated her life to continues to grow — long after any single gift, grant, or fundraising campaign.

What the Do Moore Fund Does

Alexandra House has historically relied on bequests, IRA distributions, and other planned gifts to support operations. The Do Moore Fund establishes a gradual, protected transition: as planned gifts come in, an increasing share is redirected into the endowment rather than used solely for immediate expenses. Over time, the fund itself becomes a dependable engine of support — replacing the uncertainty of one-time windfalls with sustained, mission-driven resources.

In short: your planned gift today doesn't just help survivors now. It builds the foundation that helps survivors for decades to come.
