UPDATED: COVID-19 Response and Service Changes

We care about your health and the health and well-being of our clients, volunteers, staff, and community. The leadership of Alexandra House continues to monitor the ever-changing status of COVID–19 (Coronavirus) and follow public health advisories. As a result of the current COVID-19 outbreak, and Governor Walz’s “Stay at Home” Executive Order, we have taken steps to greatly limit the number of in-person meetings and appointments.

At this time, our Community Program (located at our Anoka Campus) is closed to the public, but staff members are available to assist you remotely in whatever way you need. Our 24-hour emergency shelter remains open, as is our 24/7 helpline. If you are experiencing domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, or elder abuse, advocates are available to offer support, provide resources, and explore options.

Services that continue to be available to victims/survivors include:

SERVICES Offered on-site include:

  • Alexandra House’s emergency shelter
  • Our 24-hour helpline
  • Assistance in completing “Safe at Home” applications
  • Basic needs assistance and food shelf requests

Please call our 24-hour helpline at 763-780-2330 to connect with these services.

  • Due to school closures services to students in the schools have been suspended at least through 05/04/2020.
  • Until further notice, e will not be providing support and education to residents of Lino Lakes three juvenile facilities.
    • If you are a youth experiencing violence in a dating relationship and would like to speak with an advocate, please call our 24-hour helpline at 763-780-2330.

We are planning to hold our Fall Volunteer Advocate Training, September 8 – October 1.  If you’d like to learn more about our Volunteer Training, please contact Cathy Siegel through email.
