TPC ROSE, a group of about 60 philanthropic women members of TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, has selected Alexandra House as their 2016 beneficiary.

Alexandra House provides domestic and sexual violence services to women, men, youth and families. All services are free-of-charge and include 24-hour emergency shelter, legal advocacy, therapy, support groups, youth intervention and prevention services, abuse in later life resources, community education and professional training, and more. They are located in Blaine and Anoka, but serve victims of domestic and sexual violence across the state of Minnesota.

The need for support in domestic or sexual violence situations is something TPC ROSE women can get behind, according to Sonja Kloiber, TPC ROSE president.

“Some women leave an abusive situation with nothing more than the clothes on their backs,” Kloiber said. “TPC ROSE women, and our community of generous supporters, want to help in a number of ways, like providing short-term rent assistance to help women and their children get stable housing.”

As in past years, TPC ROSE will host events to raise awareness and funds.

Three fundraising events are planned and open to the public.

  1. Handbag Bingo. TPC ROSE and TPC Twin Cities are sponsoring Handbag Bingo, Monday, April 18, 6:30 p.m., at TPC Twin Cities, 11444 Tournament Players Parkway, Blaine. Bring $30 cash to play plus extra for raffles. Appetizer baskets will be available for purchase.
  2. Golf event for women, Tuesday, Aug. 23.
  3. Moonlight Gala, Saturday, Nov. 19.

Details for the events will be at

On Dec. 13 a check will be presented to Alexandra House with the proceeds from the year’s events.
