Internships at Alexandra House

Student interns at Alexandra House provide the critical services that our clients depend on. They also broaden the quality and scope of Alexandra House’s reach and allow us to offer additional services that would otherwise be difficult to provide. Interns will assist with the crisis line, complete intakes, go to court, file petitions, provide case management with the proper training and supervision, conduct one-on-one safety planning, assist with programming and activities for children, attend required trainings, and assist with other tasks to help support staff and clients.

Each year, Alexandra House hosts 2-4 interns in our shelter, legal advocacy, youth services, and hospital advocacy programs. We have a limited number of internship positions (fall and spring) available and we are not always able to find an opportunity that is a good match for some prospective interns. Alexandra House will only consider students who are currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at any Minnesota or out-of-state four-year college.
