Alexandra House offers a number of support groups for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their supportive loved ones. Please refer to descriptions and registration information below. Scroll all the way down to view all the group options:

Domestic Abuse Recovery Group
Mondays, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Blaine

This is a closed support/educational group for women who have experienced domestic violence. This group is intended for women who are no longer in an abusive relationship, past their immediate crisis, and looking towards recovery. Women interested must register in advance and commit to the full 6-9 week session.

Free childcare is available. Children must be registered for childcare at the same time their mothers register for the support group.

Domestic Abuse Crisis Group
Thursdays, 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Blaine

This is a walk-in support/educational group for women who have experienced domestic violence. This group is designed for women who have recently left an abusive partner, or who are still with an abusive partner and need support and assistance in safety planning and dealing with their immediate situation. New support group members must speak with an advocate and pre-register prior to attending group. Call 763-576-9999 during regular business hours to connect with an advocate and pre-register.

Free childcare is available. Women who want childcare while they attend group must call to register their children by calling 763-780-2330 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each Thursday they plan to attend. Children are registered on a first come, first serve basis.

Hope & Healing
Sexual Violence Recovery Support Group
Mondays, 7:00-8:30pm in Blaine

This is an 8-week support group for adolescent and adult women who have experienced sexual violence or trauma. New support group members can join at any time, but should speak with the Sexual Violence Services Coordinator prior to attending group and must pre-register at the number listed above.

Free childcare is available. Children must be pre-registered prior to each group session by calling 763-780-2330 during regular business hours. Children are registered on a first come first serve basis.
