Support Groups
Alexandra House offers a number of support groups for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their supportive loved ones. Please refer to descriptions and registration information below. Domestic Violence Walk-In Support
Group
Thursdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Blaine
This is an open support/educational
group for women who are still with an abusive partner and need support and
assistance in safety planning and coping with their immediate situation.
Domestic Violence Recovery Support
Group
Mondays, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Blaine
This is a closed support/educational
group for women who have experienced domestic violence, but who are no longer
in an abusive relationship, and who are the past immediate crisis, and looking
towards recovery.
Sexual Violence Recovery Support
Group
Mondays 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Blaine
This is an open
support/educational group for adolescent and adult women who have survived
sexual assault or abuse and are ready to explore their personal
healing process and find hope.
Women's Issues Support Group
Fridays, 10:00-11:00 a.m. in Blaine
This is an open support group
for adult women who have experienced domestic or sexual violence, and
who seek support from, and a connection with, other women.
Parenting Support Group
Mondays, 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Blaine
This is an open support group
for adult women who have experienced domestic or sexual violence who
seek support in parenting their children.
Self-Esteem Group
Wednesdays, 6:30-800 p.m. in Blaine
This is an open support group
for women who have experienced domestic or sexual violence who seek support in
building self-esteem and exploring personal worth and value.
Coffee & Conversations -
Practical Information for Survivors
Tuesdays, 10:00-11:00 a.m. in Blaine
Topics include
domestic violence, sexual violence, finances & budgeting, resume
writing & interviewing, healthy relationships and fire safety/prevention. Join
us to chat & eat some treats!
