Safety Planning Sessions
Alexandra House offers one-on-one sessions providing practical strategies to assist you in developing a personalized safety plan for you and your family. The goal of creating a safety plan is to review potentially dangerous situations and prepare for them in order to increase your chances of escaping these situations.
Offering the following types of safety plans:
Domestic violence - Topics include: Safety during a violent incident; safety on the job and in public; safety when preparing to leave and after leaving; safety and emotional health; safety and children.
Stalking - Topics include: How to most safely deal with a stalker; safety within and outside the home; gathering evidence; safety when relocating
Children - geared towards children through elementary school and their parents or guardians. Including: Child-friendly discussion and explanation of safety planning handouts
Other types of safety planning available upon request
