Service Statistics
In 2010, Alexandra House:
- Provided services to over 2,700 victims of domestic violence and sexual violence
- Sheltered and provided advocacy and support services to 645 residents
- Provided legal advocacy, support, and crisis services to 2,165 women, men and youth
- Assisted 165 clients in filing Orders for Protection. Provided legal representation to 104 petitioners in their protection order proceedings
- Provided support group services to over 130 community women and children.
- Worked with 115 families in their homes with our Follow Up Program
- Answered over 12,000 calls on our 24-hour crisis line, and provided support, advocacy, legal information and referral services
- Provided one-on-one violence prevention advocacy, support groups and summer programming activities to 884 children, teens, and parents in the Anoka-Hennepin, Spring Lake Park and Centennial school districts
- Gave 212 classroom presentations to 6,549 students and teachers in the Anoka-Hennepin, Spring Lake Park and Centennial school districts
- Provided 182 community education presentations and professional trainings reaching 6,200 community members and professionals
- Distributed more than 11,633 pounds of food to 628 women and children through
- Provided advocacy and support to 235 victims of sexual violence

- 99% of adult clients were female
- 60% of all clients report an income that falls below 100% the federal poverty guidelines
- 80% reporting an income that falls between 100-200% the federal poverty guidelines
- 32% of shelter residents were from Anoka County
- 54% of shelter residents were from Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington counties
- 80% of all clients were residents of Anoka County
